Portugal’s sexiest toilet opens

March 31, 2008 by

Lucky Portuguese shoppers have been surprised to find scantily dressed models in their public toilets.

The models are in both the mens’ and ladies’ bathrooms and can be seen pulling suggestive poses in lingerie and other sexy outfits. Unfortunately the models in question are just mannequins.

But the toilets have turned out to be one of the Eighth Avenue shopping centre’s main attractions in the conservative northern Portuguese city of Sao Joao da Madeira.

Squirrel Update

March 23, 2008 by

I said on my last blog that squirrels had created havoc in my house. Well, the very first squirrel that came into my house kitchen is still there. My parents say that it was a baby squirrel and it can’t find its way out. Its been one week and its still there. Strange that it did not die of hunger. Now my dad feed the baby squirrel everyday. The baby squirrel cannot be seen. It only come out very early in the morning for food. Then it will hide the whole day.

This baby squirrel starts to be choosy in its food. My dad used to give cashew nuts and peanuts. It will eat all. Now, the squirrel only eat cashew nut. My dad then gave only the peanuts for him to eat. And guess what…the squirrel steal cashew nuts from my dry kitchen. Really bad squirrel. Now must keep the squirrel out of my bananas.

Monkeys and Squirrels

March 15, 2008 by

Monkeys have roamed outside my house long before I shifted in. Its quite a normal sight since my house is situated beside the National Zoo. Moreover, the trees near my house have not been chopped down completely which was a good thing.

These monkeys have actually been missing in action for the past 6 months. Now they are back and creating havoc outside my house. It started with them fighting for food. Running around chasing each member that have food in their hand. Thats not my problem. My problem is those assholes throw the plastic bag which contain food that they had consumed into my house (garden). And they do it right in front of me. Being water-sprayed is their result for irritating me. Seeing them sitting at my house entrance gate and electrical wire making faces really irritates me.

Ibumie Penang Har Mee

March 14, 2008 by

I was firstly introduced to this Penang Har Mee instant noodle by my aunty (mum’s sis). She told me it was very delicious. Even my cousin sister and my nieces love it. In addition, every time I go to their house I will surely see new packets of this instant noodle.

I had my hands on this Penang Har Mee when Carrefour was doing promotion for 10 packets at a cheaper price. Without even considering the risk, I bought it straight away. Well, it doesn’t turn out to be that delicious. In fact, it is not delicious at all.

Allow Sex In All Dutch Public Parks

March 13, 2008 by

Wow!!! So surprise to read this news today. It is about Allow Sex In All Dutch Public Parks. This is the first time I hear of this type of activity being allowed in parks, even homosexuals. If in Malaysia, that is totally illegal. Below is the news about this title:

The police’s National Diversity Expertise Centre (LECD) wants sex allowed in all public parks in the Netherlands. The police institute has advised the cities to follow the example of Amsterdam, De Telegraaf newspaper reported Friday.

CIMB KL Open Squash Championships 08

March 10, 2008 by

Janson and I was bypassing Berjaya Times Square to get to the bus station at Pudu. As we are standing on the escalator which brought us to ground floor, I heard people cheering and clapping. Being a busy body, I went to the crowd and have a look. Looking down, I say a squash player (female) being interviewed by the emcee. It looks interesting and it captured my attention as I continue standing there looking at the surrounding and trying to listen to what the squash player and emcee were saying (which I can’t). I assumed she had just finished the game and now being interviewed by the emcee on whats her feeling during the game as she had won.

When its about to end, the emcee told the squash player to “give” souvenirs to the audience. It was very sweet of her. She threw the souvenir to almost all directions. Firstly to her bottom right. Then to her top left followed by bottom left. Lastly is to the direction where I was, top right. Too bad…the momentum was good at first and the souvenir height is at my eye level. However about two hand length from me, it just lost the momentum and drop straight on to the ground (someone down there took it). There were sounds of OOO in disappointment. Its was real fun. The souvenir was a CIMB light blue T-shirt. Janson was saying why you guys (me and other people) get so excited over a T-shirt. Well, its not about the T-shirt. Its the excitement of fighting for it, the anticipation, the hope, the fun and if you get it, its a bonus. Poor Janson…don’t know how to enjoy.

The squash player packed her things and bye bye she goes. People at my place starts to move away but something kept my feet there. I don’t want to move. I told Janson, “why don’t we wait a little while more and see whose gonna play next.” In less than 5 minutes they announced the next squash players and guess what…one of them is our very own Malaysian squash player Nicol David (in blue sleeveless). The applause that was given to her by the audiences were real loud as her name was announced. It was so great to see her live.

Nicol David in blue sleeveless

Both the players start by warming up, rehearsing in the squash court. After about 5 minutes, they started to compete. From what I saw, its an easy game for Nicol. So many people was cheering for Nicol and everytime she win 1 point, WOW, the cheering will be greater. I only watched halfway as my poor Janson want to go home. Anyway from the news, Nicol David won the championship. Congratulations to her.

It was such an experience for me. This was the first time I saw a squash court in a shopping complex. Its quite funny at first but then its possible. First time seeing Nicol David live (eventhough not very near la). Sooo great.

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks

March 9, 2008 by

The story of Shihlin:

Thousands of Taiwanese crowd the local night markets in search of their favourite and delicious snacks, and Taipei’s Shihlin Night Market is the most famous due to its very wide range of local delicacies in its small streets and alleys. If a snack is nice, you can surely find it in Shihlin. The locals say, “If Taiwan has it, Shihlin has it”. With Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, Singaporeans and Taiwanese alike can now do the same and enjoy the wonderful street snacks of Taiwan!

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks is now available on the 1st floor of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Shopping Centre. It is located at the same level and the same side as Mercato supermarket. If you know where is J.CO Donuts & Coffee, you will be able to see Lavender bread store from there and Shihlin is just situated behind Lavender. They sell XXL Crispy Chicken, Handmade Oyster Mee Sua and a few more but I forgotten the names.

I bought XXL Crispy Chicken to give it a try. The price is RM5.50 and no taxes were charged. They make it right away when you order. So you have to wait for them to fry it. They place the chicken in flour then it was fried in two different oils. I don’t know what is it for. The XXL Crispy Chicken is made bone-in and uncut so as to retain its original flavour and juiciness. They don’t cut the chicken into small pieces for you like those in pasar malam (night markets). The most they will do is to pull it to separate it into two. Yeah the bone helps retain the original flavour and juiciness, however it is too big and cumbersome that it is very messy to deal with since they don’t provide any eating tools for you. Your fingers will surely get oily. There are so much meat surrounding the bone. How can one don’t use their hand if they don’t want to waste it.

Half of the chicken is thick and with bone and the other half is thin without bone. For the thick part, there are bones and as you eat nearer to the bone, the meat looks pinkish but its cooked. Just the sight of it is not nice. There are also thick pieces of meat. The spices are not tasty enough to cover the whole meat. If you like tasty food just like me, ask them to add more spices. Same applies if you like it spicy. I will definitely love it spicy. As for the thin part, it is tasty enough but the crisp flour is as thick as the chicken that you can’t taste the flavour and juiciness of the chicken. I measured and its like in 1cm depth, there is 0.5cm of chicken and 0.5cm of crisp flour. The chicken is kind of dry also cause its thin and in some part, you will eat only crisp flour. In total, there are approximately 70% meat & crisp flour and 30% bone. You will be full if you are not very hungry (it still depends as I am a big eater).

XXL Crispy Chicken…the thin part

My recommendations for them are to marinade the chicken more and to make the chicken as proportional as possible from one end to another.

Redline

March 8, 2008 by

Went to Pavilion again this week for the second time. To watch movie again at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. With Janson again if you can’t guess. And thanks again to Malaysian Today for the complimentary movie passes. I would like to acknowledge United International Pictures as the sponsor for these movie passes. This time we watched Redline.

Synopsis: This action-thriller is about love amidst greed, speed and primal desires. A gorgeous young automobile fanatic and front to the hottest unsigned band on the West coast finds herself caught up in illegal drag-racing competitions organized for the pleasure of a bunch of bored billionaires.

Does the synopsis sounds boring? There are negative critics found in newspaper and internet on this movie. Redline was released in America about 1 year before Malaysia. With so many critics, I actually thought twice on whether to go and watch this movie or not. Since the tickets are free, I shouldn’t waste it.

Redline is all about car racing and girls. Before races, they will show the girl’s boobs and butts. There are guys fighting. The fighting scenes always involved Carlo (who didn’t race). Girls pillow fight on bed while laughing. Well, all the scenes are quite stupid (but with purpose) except when it comes to racing. You can’t compare Redline and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Its very stupid of those critics who compared between these two movies. Redline is about normal car racing while Tokyo Drift is about car drifting. It is acceptable if The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Initial D are compared. Shame on those critics. No objections that the best thing ever in Redline is the cars. Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT. There are more but I only know this few. Ending? Of course the bad people suffers and the good people enjoys. Do not expect the plot to be something fabulous. Just watch with an open heart and enjoy the girls, the cars and the racing. I heard people saying WOW! during the show. So, its not that bad.

Rating: 2.5/5

On the way downstairs after the movie, I heard a band playing musical instruments. There are many people watching them. This is not the first time I saw this band playing. Do they play everyday at about 7pm? Its quite enjoyable and there are people carrying their young child and jiggle in a dancing mode. It was a nice sight.

Can you see me?

The Spiderwick Chronicles

March 6, 2008 by

Janson and I watched the preview of The Spiderwick Chronicles at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. Thank you Malaysian Today for giving us the opportunity to watch the preview of this great movie. This movie will be open to public in Malaysia on 13th March. Well, this movie is funny and the best thing is you laugh time to time throughout the movie. Unlike CJ7 where you only laugh at the first half of the movie. The plot is nice and there are suspences. However, the ending of this movie is kind of unexpected, some disappointment, feels silly and at the same time admire the way they can end the life of the main villian. I know some of you know the ending if you have read the story book but I haven’t. What I learned from all the Harry Potter movies is do not read the book before the movie. The thing is movie will not be able to express as good and as deeply as the book. Then there will surely be disappointments.

Well movie lovers, go and watch this movie. It worth your money.

December 24, 2007 by

Another building i know today, Fish-shaped Tower in WuHu. Eastern China’s Wuhu City of Anhui Province completed the construction of a fish-shaped tower on a bridge crossing the Qingyijiang River on Sunday, December 23, 2007. China’s Eiffel Tower

December 24, 2007 by

The replica, which is one-third the size of the real Eiffel Tower, is located in the Tianducheng residential area in the outskirts of Hangzhou, where rows of European-style houses also have been built.

The 108-meter steel structure, which was completed earlier this year, has sightseeing terraces on eight different levels. It is the second-largest Eiffel Tower replica in the world after the 165-meter-high tower in Las Vegas in the United States.

Maggi Kari Letup

December 21, 2007 by

I had my third packet of Maggi Kari Letup, Lebih Kenyal, Lebih Pedas for lunch today. My love for this instant noodle is growing with every packet I consume.

My 1st packet – disappointed as it is not up to my expectation

My 2nd packet – felt the soup quite soothing and the noodle is delicious when soft

My 3rd packet – yummy delicious as i know how to mess with it now

The word Lebih Kenyal, Lebih Pedas is found on the packet. Yes, it is lebih kenyal and lebih pedas. With the same boiling time for other Maggi flavours, the noodle would have became soft and when you are ready to eat it, it is already swell up…yucky. It is also more spicy that the normal Maggi Curry Flavour. However, it is only slightly spicier than Cintan Curry. For me, Cintan is more delicious than Maggi. But now I think I will be crazy over Maggi Kari Letup. Give it a try.

December 19, 2007 by

I have wrote down a whole story of what had happened during my work yesterday. Very interesting and it was the best blog I have ever written coz I am really angry. Too bad that when I wanted to post it, my damn stupid laptop disconnected and the whole thing gone. Can’t seem to get back the feel when I type it out again so I just delete it. Now this has became my first blog. Disappointing hah??? Yes for me knowing that I wrote a better one just now.

*Someone told me that they have blog the same thing three times coz it got deleted when posting or whatever. Really salute whoever you are. I can’t really type the same thing over again. The feel is not the same anymore.
